help wantedNew Orleans, NOLA, 'Nawlins. There are as many names for the city as their are genres of music. Jazz, Blues, Cajun Zydeco, and Country just to name a few. After Hurricane Katrina, there has been a lot of press describing the plight of the musicians that have been displaced, but we are here to tell you that the music industry is alive and well. We are not just talking about the usual places and yearly events, but the local scene as well. Even though the industry has bounced back, there are always new artisits and song writers that need to be exposed to the industry and people as a whole. That is why we created this site.
This website is designed to offer many resources to help fill a songwriters needs. This site is loaded down with resources including a thesaurus, idioms, dictionary, helpful links (apartment guides, publishers), Frequently Ask Questions (How do I get my song copyrighted?), Calendar of Events (songwriter nights, local events), an online store ( coming soon!), featured songwriters, a blog, and chat room to help connect you with other local songwriters and musicians.
We vow to stay current and to become a site that you will want to visit over and over again in the future. Of course, in order to become a great resource, we need your help.
